Basic Course: A total of 8 hours divided into two hours daily. The student will first receive all the theoretical information on winds, the sea and security requirements. Then he will receive practical instructions starting with a kite control on the sand, passing to the body-drag (moving along in the water without the board) and finally sailing thus attaining the goal of the course.
Intermediate Course: This course is for the kitesurfer that is already on the board but is unable to return to the same point (estimate up-wind) and doesn´t feel totally confident sailing. This course is given hourly. Before the class, the kitesurfer is evaluated and based on this the instructor will be able to estimate the necessary hours to attain the desired goal.
To be able to go and come back to the same spot, make the transition and feel confident in regards to the wind takes an average of 4 to 8 hours. This course can be done with the student’s or the school’s equipment
Advanced Course: For this course, an interview and an evaluation of the student’s sailing is taken to enable the instructor to see the student’s ability. Based on this the instructor will estimate the necessary hours required for the student to attain his goal. The advanced course aims to teach the basic principles involved in each maneuver.
Examples of maneuvers: Unhook, Load and Pop, Kiteloops, Handle Pass.
These are practical lessons, instructor and student, demonstration of the maneuver by the instructor, explaining how to do the maneuver and training with repetitions.
Video demonstrations on laptops, feedback between student and instructor, helmets equipped with radio are resources used to improve learning.
This course is done using the student’s equipment that will be tested and regulated.
Equipment: The school offers all the necessary equipment to teach kitesurf safely. Quality equipment that is new with different size kites and boards for a better learning experience.
Rentals: We rent all the necessary equipment for kitesurfing.
